Used motor oil

Reader Tony sent us a link to Alaa Hegazi’s photostream. Alaa has some amazing work and we really dig his latest painting entitled: “Obama spontaneous”. Not much information is given, but the painting looks to be at least 4′ tall.

.gov (my mind has been blown)

If you think that the cropped image below is surreal - jump inside and prepare to have your mind blown. This acrylic on canvas titled ‘.gov’ was created by “Nashville, TN-based surrealist artist named Donny Smutz and it will be premiering at the Tinney Contemporary Gallery this Saturday June 6. The Nashville Scene, the town’s alternative weekly newspaper, ran the cropped photo  in its “critics pics” section in the print edition that came out today.”
