This handmade, painted sign for a bake sale has been sitting in our archives for a while. We were hoping to find more information about it before posting, but it is just too cute to wait any longer.
Just hours after posting about the huge lawn painting in Pennsylvania, Hillary Levine sends us these: “ We had one of our sign ‘removed’, and after hearing of another supporter painting her lawn, realized we had to make a statement. We’re in Deerfield Illinois and the painting is about 15 feet square.” There are more photos after the jump.
In the rural town of Shickshinny, Pennsylvania there exists a field of hope. Together with 13 volunteers, Hilary Ross and her husband Jim Lennox built a giant version of the classic Shepard Fairey image. The painting took 60 hours to complete. Updated 11-02. Origanally spotted in a35mmlife’s photostream.
Abbey shares with us her latest craft project: “I live in Chicago, so there’s Obama everywhere– graffiti, signs, etc. My own two cents, I’m a crafter and have been making these finger puppets for the last few months. Hope you enjoy!”
