This President is Junk

Friday, May 29th, 2009 | 3 Comments »

Jason Mecier shows us that a presidential  art piece can be more then the sum of its parts. He captures Obama’s image using only junk, or in his own words: “…barack obama using objects of modern america”. I especially like the spaceman in his neck. Jump inside for the full image.

From the Netherlands with love

Hay Kranen sent this in back in January: “Hi, i made an Obama art piece called ‘The Reconciliator’… I’m from the Netherlands, and the piece is called ‘De Verzoener’ in Dutch, which is quite an appropriate name because ‘Verzoenen’ not only means ‘Reconciliate’ in Dutch, but ‘zoenen’ also means kissing.”

Flag Ears – Interesting Graffiti

Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 | No Comments »

Reader ‘Fo0’ tips us off to this interesting shot that was featured in edition_of_one’s . The caption reads only “Asheville, North Carolina “. From the photo, I can’t tell if it is a wheat-pasting, or more traditional stencil work. The artist is also unknown, so as always, let us  know if you have more information on this piece.
