Here is an incredible piece of work from Antar Dayal: “The portrait of Senator Obama as it comes to live on my Kaolin coated scratchboard. After the image area is coated with black China Ink fine lines are engraved into the surface sculpting shadows and highlights.”

Spotted in theres no way home’s photostream. This photograph shows a very simple poster that has been wrapped around a metal light pole. The photo is a bit fuzzy and the poster very simplistic in nature – yet it conveys quite a bit of emotion.

On this festive day, a food related post seems fitting. Layron DeJarnette sends this in: “…a photo of some Obama logo cupcakes that my wife made for an Obama victory party on Nov 4th.  They’re red velvet cupcakes with food coloring sprayed on to create the logo.” Yum!

And… speaking of Michael Murphy, here is yet another increadable work of art by the artist. Called ‘Nexus’ , it consists of nine prints on transparency paper which are held togther by copper, steel and magnets. Measures  7′ X 28″‘ X 28″. More angles inside.

This is from Michael Murphy, who’s incredible sculptures we have seen before: “Barack Obama 2008 Wood, Paint, Steel & Light.” This distinct  portrait is created by the shadow cast by 6,400 nails that have been hammered into the surface. Come inside to see it from other angles.
