Finalist in the Manifest Hope Gallery show. By Heather Courtney from San Jose, CA: “This is a handcrafted Barack Obama Jack-in-the-box toy by Heather Courtney at Pop Art Creations.  The box is wooden and handpainted with words of Hope and Change.  Little Barack is sculpted from polymer clay, as are all the flowers on the inside of the box.  This is a working, musical jack-in-the-box toy and the handcrank tune plays, “You Light Up My Life”.” Auctioned for $905.50

    This was a one-of-a-kind art piece created for the Manifest Hope Gallery show. Unfortunately, I don’t think that they are being mass produced.

    a lot of poor folks for have enjoyed something like this to leave for our grandchildren and great grandchildren…..no profit. white folks always make money off of us. theres a white woman on antique roadshow with letters from louie armstrong…did he write his own folks or leave something for them….i’m not mad…just hate we can’t save a lot of history without a fat price.
