The fine lines

Spotted this incredible close-up in a35mmlife’s photostream. This was shot during the creation of a poster that you have probably already seen. The hand is that of famous graffiti artist “The Mac.” Do you know recognize the poster yet? Step inside for a finished shot and a quote from the artist.

Baracksploitation

Several different readers have sent this one in over the past few weeks. This incredibly hot portrait was featured on the cover of the voters edition of the Willamette Week, a local alternative paper in Portland, OR. The original art is by Lukas Ketner and features a sweaty Barack wading through the water, being chased by a unicorn, with roses flying from his pelvis.

Even the haters are creating art

Ran across this caricature in Nick Leonard’s photostream. It’s not pretty. It’s not supportive. And it could easily be considered racist. So why are we featuring it here? Well it is a great example about how this campaign has affected the art community. Love him, or hate him – Obama has inspired people to create.

T-shirts + hot chicks

A lot of Obama art out there is making it’s way on to t-shirts and other clothing. The one featured here is nothing special – what caught my eye was company’s advertising. Jump inside for a more risqué photo, as well as some background information concerning that logo on her shirt. It ruffled some feathers all by itself.
